Making a good thing better

Sunday, March 2, 2008 in Technical Articles (Views: 5476)
So how do you make a good thing even better, such as a cell phone?

Well, to add to the last blog, entitled "Simply, Man!" there are a couple of suggestions...

1. If you are a mobile person, look for a mobile data plan, or make use of text messaging.

I recommend the use of xT9 technology on the phone. It's not perfect, but it's a lot closer than it was, and has a better dictionary.

2. Go wireless in more ways than just the internet.

Why not use a Bluetooth headset, where you can make calls and listen to music while having both ears covered? Windows Mobile 6 is the first to support Bluetooth stereo.

A personal suggestion here is the Motorola HT820, it's a great headset without costing much.

3. Get a second battery

If you use the crap out of your phone as I do, I recommend a second battery or having a charger readily available at all times.

4. Look to see what your phone is capable of doing from a third party.

Can you download (or purchase) applications (or games) that are of use to you?

Just a quick 2 cents on enhancing your cell phone, and making your device more "all-in-one" and more friendly.
