The People Have Spoken

Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in My Opinions and Rantings (Views: 3623)
Another election day is in the books, and with a lot less fanfare than one originally thought. To those who know me, whether you're Republican or Democrat doesn't matter, since both parties will screw with you - just using different methods.

One thing I was happy to see was that seemingly few incidents popped up of people pointing fingers at voter fraud, or stories of someone clicking one entry and getting another. Surprisingly, in politics, it appeared to be a good, clean, uneventful fight.

I will say that it was nice to see those who have served 25+ years being knocked off like dominos falling. That sent quite a message. Also, I'm happy to say the words "Speaker of the House" and Pelosi won't be said within a few words of each other any longer.

So far, I've lost confidence in all of this "We're going to reverse direction", or "Let's all come together". I don't know what effect this "Tea Party" candidate thing will hold either, although it will be interesting to see what happens with them, and I'm sure the world is watching them. ?Guess I'll believe what I am seeing, when I see it.

It seems just by the voting that Barack Hussein Obama has become a political plague, and for the most part, those (important ones) he pushed for, lost their Senate seats. He was probably smart not to invade Nevada, where he insulted the mayor of Las Vegas before those two nearly went to blows. I suppose it makes no sense to tell people how great the economy is when they've been looking for a job for 18 months.

So, let the spin begin. Could be fun watching, but will be even more fun if anyone actually does what they say they will - or is this why they call it politics?
