Windows 10 and slow Internet Explorer

Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Technical Articles (Views: 1268)
So, Windows 10 has a lot of bugs which have been reported around the internet, one I have found was how slow the web browser was. Windows 10 ships with 2 different browsers, Microsoft Edge which is a resource hog and destined to crash if left open long enough, and good old Internet Explorer which is just simply slow (looking at Task Manager, no visible signs of resources being taken).

The answer? Well, first, like earlier with Hyper-V, remove Internet Explorer 11 from Windows 10. You will get a warning that anything can break at this point, ignore it and remove Internet Explorer 11. Install a better browser such as Firefox, and set it to the default browser. Problem easily solved.

Hope this helps the many others who are having this issue…
