Trouble installing Windows Server 2012 R2 Features

Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in Technical Articles (Views: 4083)
Ran into one pretty interesting error on Windows Server 2012 R2 trying to install a feature:

Failed to open the runspace pool. The Server Manager WinRM plug-in might be corrupted or missing.

I noticed that the IP listeners were blank, of all things. By running netsh http show iplist, I saw the following:

IP addresses present in the IP listen list:
-------------------------------------------

To resolve this, I ran the following to have the server listen to itself: netsh http add iplisten 127.0.0.1

After...

IP addresses present in the IP listen list:
-------------------------------------------

127.0.0.1

After rebooting, I was able to install the service. Hope this helps someone else.
