Beware of Server 2016 Services

Thursday, November 24, 2016 in Technical Articles (Views: 1520)
A real quick blog, and a Happy Thanksgiving to my readers.

Server 2016 has a lot of promise out there, but with that, comes a warning. I noticed random services beginning to fail once installing Server 2016, and noted a very obvious change in the way the server OS works.

Some services, and I am speaking of Netlogon being the biggest was set to Manual and not automatic. Why can this be a problem? Well, if you say have 2 servers running 2016 for DFS, they may not be able to talk to each other with netlogon disabled.

Something to look out for when you upgrade/install the new OS.
