Halfbrick Games or Halfbaked Games?

Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Technical Articles (Views: 2071)
This seems to be more a rule, but exception, but Halfbrick makes 2 games for Windows 8 (among others) called Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride. In normal gameplay, I have found 2 bugs:
- The game hangs at "Signing into Xbox Live"
- The game crashes after every round of Arcade mode

Now, the first issue I haven't seen much of, the second I have. So, upon finally finding some support for the game (an email address), I send in a whole lot of information and receive an auto-reply. The auto-reply basically talks about how great they are, and how without their "loyal" fans, they wouldn't be who they are today. Who are they anyway?

This is a symptom of a bigger problem, however. I know that I've had lots of issues with the Windows Store in the past, but the "take your money and run" philosophy of the store, coupled with a lack of support, really tears it. As of this writing, 2 messages over 2 weeks, and no reply or update from anyone tells me they simply don't care. Why should they, they have the money.
