Reporting/Inventory the SQL Edition in SCCM (Part 2)

Monday, August 24, 2015 in System Center (Views: 1983)

In part 1 of the blog, we went over how to inventory the SQL edition in SCCM, and now, it's payday. We now get to report on this information.

First, after you have a fair amount of results, you can work this query. One piece of information you'll need is the CI_ID, which is unique to your environment.

SELECT distinct CurrentValue,Netbios_Name0,LastComplianceMessageTime
FROM v_CICurrentSettingsComplianceStatusDetail
where CurrentValue in ('Enterprise','Standard','Developer')
and CI_ID in ('(your CI_ID)')

This being said, you will then see results in SQL Management studio, if testing there:

Take this query into reporting services, create a new report, and modify as you like (add groupings, or whatever) – but when you're finished, you will have a report of SQL editions in SCCM.

Finally, a blog that actually talks about how to inventory SQL editions in SCCM on the internet. :)
