Windows 10 can't connect to a Remote Desktop Gateway

Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in Technical Articles (Views: 2932)
So, this one is another head scratcher... Once I upgraded my Remote Desktop Gateway to 2016, all hell broke loose for connectivity, or did it?

What was interesting is that my Android phone could connect to the gateway, but Windows 10 couldn't. Okay, that seems weird. One would blindly argue that Windows 10 should be more in sync with updates and security than Android (apparently not)...

To remedy this, I created this registry key on the client:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client

Key: RDGClientTransport
DWORD, Value = 1

The client magically connected. Hope this helps someone else.
